Summer Course Previews and Annual Ice Cream Social! 

We hope you will join us and bring your friends and neighbors to a brief general meeting and summer course previews on Saturday, June 3rd. 

The meeting will be followed by our annual ice cream social featuring ice cream (of course!) and an assortment of toppings. ICL hosts this meeting every year to introduce friends and neighbors to our organization and to show our appreciation to our membership – the foundation of ICL. Instructors who have volunteered to lead courses for our summer session will be present to provide information on their respective course as well as answer any questions you might have. 

The meeting and course previews will commence at 10:30 am in the Hatcher Room located in the Rollins Campus Center (RCC) on the Young Harris College (YHC) campus. We will have signage outside the RCC as well as signs directing you to parking lots within easy walking distance of the building. 

In addition to the course previews, our general meeting will feature an update on YHC happenings by YHC President Drew Van Horn, recognition of our board members and standing committee chairs, and a brief summary of recent administrative changes since our registration system went online. 

We welcome volunteers and invite you to consider “raising your hand” – we are always in search of instructors and folks to serve on our Executive Board. We will have three openings in 2024 for member-at-large positions and encourage you to speak with a board member during the post-meeting ice cream social.
