Clay County K-9 Initiative, Inc.
Clay County K-9 Initiative, Inc. (CCKI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the law-enforcement K-9 teams that serve Clay County, North Carolina. CCKI purchases K-9 officers and helps provide the resources needed for their health, safety, training, and long-term care. CCKI proudly supports three K-9s: Luca, Freya, and newcomer Dixie. Dixie will serve exclusively with Clay County Schools and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, helping strengthen safety and preparedness for students, staff, and the wider community. The organization helps cover the cost of K-9 acquisition, professional training, medical needs, food, training equipment, vehicle inserts, and other essential expenses that contribute to each K-9’s overall well-being. CCKI also supports training for K-9 handlers and local EMS personnel, strengthening the readiness of the public-safety professionals who protect our community. Currently, CCKI is focused on building a dedicated K-9 training facility. Once completed, the facility will be made available to surrounding counties free of charge, creating an important regional resource for ongoing K-9 and public-safety training. If you are called to support this important initiative, please consider making a donation. Contact Lynn Smith, President, at 828-557-1036. Non-profit membership
