Join the Hiawassee Half Marathon & 5K in the heart of North Georgia’s scenic mountain region. All proceeds benefit Hikeawassee, a free Appalachian Trail hiker shuttle service. Conveniently located just two hours north of Atlanta, we welcome you to the heart of the North Georgia mountains for the inaugural Hiawassee Half Marathon & 5K. Starting and finishing in the charming Hiawassee Town Square, this scenic road race showcases the beauty of our mountain-lake community. Both courses feature stunning views of Lake Chatuge, with the half marathon offering a full 360-degree tour around its sparkling shoreline. With primarily flat terrain and well-maintained road surfaces, runners of all experience levels can enjoy a smooth, fast course surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Packet Pickup Friday, March 13, at Trailful Outdoor Co., 3 - 6 pm AND Saturday, Race morning at Start/Finish Area, starting at 6:00 am All participants will receive a t-shirt in their packet. All finishers will receive a locally made finisher medal.
