BRASSTOWN COMMUNITY CENTER CONCERT
"The Reedy River String Band will perform at Brasstown Community Civic Center on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in memory of the late Charlie Allison, cousin to the band and a true fan. Charlie was a valuable member of the BCCC team. He was looking forward to the band performing for the community that he loved and supported. Charlie went home to the Lord in 2024. Named for the river that runs through their hometown, Greenville, SC, their three-year-old Reedy River String Band features three writers, three lead singers, and three-part harmonies. The power of three; frontman and fiddle player Sterling Waite, guitarist Rush Morgan and upright bassist Mark Dye bring to their music a larger-than-life sound that defies their numbers. Flying high from a European tour and the 30th Albino Skunk Festival; they are now landing at the Brasstown Community Civic Center! Other notable festivals where they have awed audiences include The Earl Scruggs Music Festival, Merlefest, Charleston Bluegrass Festival and more! Doors open by 6pm at BCCC, 255 Settawig Rd. and at 7pm the music starts. Hotdogs, chicken & dumplings like your Mama made, cobbler and ice cream are available for purchase. Admission is $10 and children under 12 get in FREE. All proceeds go to Brasstown Community Civic Center, a 501(c)3, for the facility maintenance and upkeep so BCCC can continue to provide community services. This one is for you Charlie!!"
