AUDITIONS FOR "IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY" - THE PEACOCK

Description

Laurel Adams, Resident Artistic Director at the Peacock in Hayesville,announces auditions for “It Runs in the Family”, an over-the-top comedy by Ray Cooney, and directed by David Layfield. The story centers on Dr. David Mortimore, who is preparing for a huge career—boosting lecture, when he’s visited by an old flame who announces they have a son together who wants to meet his dad. Mortimore is rattled by this news, primarily because his wife would not be happy, nor would his boss want a scandal. How will crazy friends and incidents help the good doctor hide his secret? 

Needed are 6 men, 5 women and 1 other role can be either. The youngest role is a young man in his late teens and roles range in age up to 70—so there’s a role for you! Visit the Peacock online (thepeacocknc.org) or drop by the theatre. Details are posted outside the entrance! Audition dates are March 14, 21 (10 – 1 p.m.); March 16, 17 (6 – 8 p.m.). Performances are May 8-10; 15-17 and rehearsals begin March 23, 7 – 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
