49TH ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL
Saturday & Sunday | Oct. 4 & 5 | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Fall Festival, established at the John C. Campbell Folk School in 1974, takes place each year on the first full weekend in October–this year on October 4 & 5. This beloved tradition is especially meaningful in 2025, as it will kick off the Folk School’s 100th Anniversary. Fall Festival features three outdoor vendor areas–both juried and non-juried–set against the backdrop of the Folk School’s 270-acre campus. This year, enjoy 230 craft vendors, 29 food vendors, and nearly 75 makers demonstrating traditional and contemporary crafts across multiple locations. Two music and dance stages will showcase dozens of local and regional performers. In addition, the Demonstration Stage, along with three other demonstration areas, will highlight traditional skills and craft practices. The Community Room in the historic Keith House will also be open for participatory activities, inviting everyone to get hands-on with Appalachian traditions. Tickets are now available online. Skip the lines and buy in advance, with single-day and multi-day pass options available. Tickets will also be sold on-site during the event. Note: Online ticketing includes sales tax and additional processing fees. Cash sales, including sales tax, will be available at the gate during the festival.
